Background & experience
Learning through
doing.
Laboratory work, industrial experience, and student leadership have shaped how I approach engineering problems.
January 2025 — Present
Aerospace Lab Assistant
Mississippi State Aerospace Department
I co-manage aerospace labs with one lab engineer and two student engineers, supporting 8+ research professors and three student teams.
- Train students and researchers to choose equipment, operate machines, and fabricate parts independently.
- Fabricate research parts using CAD/CAM, CNC and manual milling, lathe work, welding, and composites.
- Machine graphite and PEEK research components, modify wind-tunnel mounts, and maintain hydraulic pumps for materials-testing machines.
- Coordinate parts, specifications, shipping, and external sourcing for laboratory work.

Formula SAE Leadership
Aerodynamics Section Lead · Mississippi State
I directed 10 core members, with participation reaching 30 early in the season. I owned weekly meetings, schedules, a $5,400 section budget, and sponsor coordination, and contributed to managing the team’s $100,000 budget.
Training teammates, documenting lessons, and mentoring a successor helped preserve engineering capability beyond one season.

Intern · Global Nonwovens Mill, Corinth, MS
Two internships provided practical experience in industrial organization and exposure to engineering and operations coordination.
- Audited 800+ records-retention boxes and reconciled titles, numbering, locations, and inventory discrepancies.
- Created a physical key-control system with sectioned storage, an Excel inventory and checkout log, and a sign-out record.
- Observed engineering reviews of equipment failures, repairs, utilization, and corrective actions.
- Supported facility maintenance and improvements to operator-facing information.
